Lodge Awards and Recognition

  • Hall stone Lodge

For some time the Lodge hesitated before coming to   the decision to become a Hall Stone Lodge, but at the February, 1921 Meeting an appeal by the then Secretary, W.Bro.F. Read, brought about a decision to do so. On 1st June, 1927, the Secretary had the honour of receiving, on behalf of  the  Lodge,  the  Hall  Stone  Jewel from  the  hands  of the then W.M. The Grand Master, H.R.H. The Duke of Connaught. This jewel is still proudly worn by each successive Master.

  • 250th Anniversary Grand Lodge commemorative jewel

Following the 250th Anniversary of Grand Lodge a commemorative jewel was presented to the Lodge indicating that the members had played their part in supporting a Fund which was established   to commemorate   the   existence of Freemasonry through two and a half centuries.   The income from this fund is placed at the disposal of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and each new Master of St. Ambrose Lodge is reminded of this by the jewel which  is worn by him in the button position of his   collar of office.
